I am an experienced and professional massage therapist who will listen and give you a massage treatment specifically to meet your needs.

We specialize in helping you feel better!!!

Make your vacation complete! Book ahead and receive a relaxing therapeutic massage when you arrive to get the kinks out and then enjoy your time exploring the island. Same day appointments are sometimes available.

Try a new kind of massage - Ashiatsu -This deep pressure massage has been claimed as one of the most luxurious massages on the planet! This massage is given with the therapist's feet which fit the contours of the back, shoulder blades, hips and legs. The broad firm stroke soothes tight muscles making you feel relaxed and stretched out. For those who think they've tried it all. Most people say they cannot tell that I am using my feet! Check out Youtube videos on ashiatsu. Abby Parker, suite #204; Sonia Beauchamp suite 203; and Jennifer Ueno, are the only therapist (to my knowledge) that do ashiatsu work on the North Shore of Oahu.

Get Relief from Stress! Traveling, working hard, studying, emotional trauma or caring for family? Take time to give back to yourself!

Recovering from an Injury? We have experience helping people recover from an injury due to a car accident, repetitive use, and athletic strains.

Whiplash, leg or back strains are common injuries from a car accident. We accept no fault insurance and worker's compensation. No fault insurance is your car insurance that allows you to receive medical treatment if you get injured in an accident. This includes massage with a prescription from a doctor.

Repetitive use injuries include: tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis or golfer's elbow, rotator cuff injuries, hip and knee pain.

Massage can reduce pain, increase circulation, relax the nervous system and help you get back to yourself again. Headaches, sciatica, scoliosis, or other postural issues? Massage can help relieve tension, discomfort and strain felt with these conditions. It also lets you know and feel where other effected areas are. Often the cause of pain is not the same area as where it is felt.

About Us: Abby Parker I love being a massage therapist! I opened my practice at Ka'ala Healing Arts in March 2003. Since becoming licensed in 2001 I have taken 2-3 continued education classes every year. Although swedish is the technique I use the most, I blend in lomilomi, myofascial release, stretching or more specific medical massage techniques where and when needed. Ashiatsu is another one of my favorite massages to give. This is for people who love deep pressure.

I also really enjoy working with people who have been in a car accident and feel I am very good at soothing the nervous system first and relieving the pain and stress that comes during recovery. As someone who knows first hand about a curved spine, I welcome people with scoliosis, kyphosis or other postural issues. For those who like having a better understanding of the muscles, fascia and healing, I am happy to share what I have been taught and have experienced. I also enjoy teaching you how to take better care of your back! I enjoy surfing, sculpting with clay, painting, shelling and life! My approach to massage is like art or a wave, be ready for something new and different every time...

Education: Graduate of the American Institute of Massage Therapy, Kailua, HI March 2001 Continued Education Classes:

Lomilomi (I have taken several classes with different teachers, different techniques, same philosophy. Looking at a person as a spiritual and energetic being to work out the physical ailments. Always asking for the body's permission and guidance before working.) Repetitive Use Injury Therapy and Soft Tissue Release (Both use stretching to release congestion and tightness in the muscles.)

Myofascial Release (John Barnes approach, using little to no oil to free up the fascia layers, which is the connective tissue throughout the body.)

Craniosacral Therapy (Upledger Institute. I have completed the first level, and love the occipital release (the base of the skull where the cervical spine joins.)

Lymph Drainage (Upledger Institute. I have completed the first level, and work the neck and face for sinuses, wrinkles, bags under the eyes or just to get the lymph moving.)

Thai Massage (Studied in Chang Mai, Thailand. Although I love this massage, I am not currently using this technique. Sorry!) Ashiatsu (The broad firm strokes given by the therapist's foot will leave you feeling "ironed out"! A favorite to give.)

Medical Massage (David Morin. Series of 5 classes, now at #4. Specific techniques, assessment, rehabilitation exercises, terminology etc. for injuries commonly seen by massage therapist.) Self taught through receiving massage, reading articles in massage professional magazines and home study DVD's and books.
